EPW - Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, $20 gold coin watch made from United States Liberty Head 1904-S Double Eagle, 34mm, 90% gold coin containing 18K gold original Vacheron & Constantin case, case front opens via hidden button within coin rim, champagne colored metal dial, SW-SS, lever escapement, 17J cal. 1003 mvt, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#559163. Gross weight of assembled watch 22.3 dwt (34.6 g). An excellent example of this iconic watch style.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, virtually mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, some tiny nicks at edge of balance cock; dial flawless in visible portion; virtually mint hands; case shows little wear, few fine scratches, soft ding to obverse field right of Liberty's head, mild reduction of mint detail which is more notable among high areas of obverse; crown shows hardly any wear; good glass crystal.
